Pine Point Beach

| February 12, 2012 | 0 Comments

Pine Point is a small, but very special beach community in Scarborough, Maine.  The beach extends for four miles along Saco Bay and the Atlantic Ocean, from the jetty at the opening of the Scarborough River to Old Orchard Beach.

The beach is broad and expansive and includes a wide tidal area.  There is more than enough room to spread out on the soft sand, relax, swing or simply take a stroll along the shore, among the dunes.  Nearby there are beautiful marshlands and a variety of wildlife.

Pine Point is actually a neighborhood in the Town of Scarborough, and located only 15 miles south of Portland. Many homes in Pine Point have view or access to the ocean and real estate along the beach is a prized possession.
